Weligama is a small town where a lot of people take to the seas to make a living as fishermen. But tourists love its intimate beaches and consistent waves for surfing. The town itself can be a bit chaotic but once you get to the sandy beaches lined with coconut trees, you’ll forget all about chaos. You’ll find a mellow beach break and al the peace and quiet you need to concentrate on mastering the tricks of surfing.

Tangalle has now become a seasoned tourist destination. You will find plenty of accommodation options even during the low season. You’ won’t even have to book ahead. The beaches are likely to be deserted.
